The Buddha was noted to have walk thirty miles to teach. Before He taught He would feed them.
The food also which is dear to each is threefold, as also sacrifice, austerity and almsgiving. Hear thou the distinction of each.
Unfortunately, war, famine, and poverty damage the innocence in them. Many have seen the horrors of war and endure poverty for many years of their lives sapping innocence and which results in despair.
How can we tell you that a word like despair only gives a shell of what despair does to a child if you have not experienced poverty and hunger? Half of Humanity, those that live in the West, have never felt or experienced these conditions that result in despair and hopelessness.
